NH Campo De Gibraltar

Breakfast was the worst part for me. The pastries were hard and stale, and the coffee tasted acidic, possibly because the machine hadn’t been rinsed properly after descaling. I think that could be a health risk. There was also a bad smell throughout the hotel, unpleasant flashing LED lights at reception, and a room that clearly needs renovation. Unbelievable.

We arrived after the floods in Jimena de la frontera had left us homeless, dirty, and looking for warmth. There were four of us, three dogs and our 26 year old cat too. The staff welcomed us and never made us feel judged during the six nights we stayed. The rooms were fantastic as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕💕

The hot water never worked in the shower, either when I tried that evening or again the next morning. I submitted a complaint online, but only got a generic apology. Earlier, I’d booked a double bed and a bath, and the booking site let me select and confirm that option. At the hotel I was given two single beds and a shower instead, then told the room type was subject to availability. I felt misled. I also wondered whether being there with my male partner had anything to do with it. At reception they said their system was down and nothing could be done. The staff seemed unprepared and unsure, and I didn’t want to keep pushing and risk being a bothersome guest. I paid more than I could have at nearby places because I expected the advertised amenities and service. That’s not what I got. I’m extremely disappointed, won’t return to this location, and won’t stay with this hotel brand again.

Iman and the housekeeping team really made my stay. They were kind and professional, and took such care with the details. The rooms and facilities were spotless and welcoming throughout. NH Campo de Gibraltar was clean, comfortable, and very well located. I had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. I highly recommend it.
