Apartamento Los Collados - Aguilas

We had a fantastic stay. The apartments are roomy for four, and can sleep five if you’re okay with less space. Parking is included, and the village is right nearby. Pets are welcome if you let them know in advance. I’d only have liked a few basics in the kitchen, such as dish soap or kitchen roll. Otherwise, it was wonderful.

We had a very good stay, though the bathroom could use some attention. The tiles seemed old, which may explain their condition, and the half shower screen lets water escape, so a full-length one would be better. There’s an equipped kitchen and a sofa bed in the spacious apartment, which suited four to six people. The building also has a lift and a pool with loungers. Parking costs €5 a day.

There were used wrappers and even a loose pill in the bedside drawers, which seems especially concerning if children are staying. At the door when we arrived, we found garbage, and we had to make our own bed. Cleanliness and hygiene were nowhere to be seen. The stay was awful, disgusting and not recommended. I’ll leave the photos to speak for themselves. If this place wants to stay in business, I think it needs to change its cleaning staff.

After ten years of coming here for holidays, sadly I don’t think we’ll return. The bathroom hadn’t been touched, and I had to clean it myself along with the kitchen counter. There was suntan lotion on the nightstand with chewing gum stuck to it, and food scraps all over both dining tables. When we first arrived, the apartment looked occupied or recently vacated and hadn’t been cleaned. We told the man who handed over the keys, and he asked us to come back in half an hour. We gave him longer while we went out, but nothing had changed. Getting the keys was delayed until 3 pm, which hadn’t happened on our previous visits, and nobody was at reception when we arrived. We had to call to find out what was going on.
