The rooms were excellent, and everyone was so kind to us. We loved it! 😊

The pool felt rather cold, though we stayed at the end of August, when the weather was already changing. The owner intends to add heating. There wasn’t a playground or activities for children, either. Still, we had a positive two-day stay with a child who has a motor disability, and the staff treated us wonderfully. The homemade food was delicious, too. Getting in through the main entrance isn’t possible for someone with a disability, which made arrival difficult, but the staff let us use the rear entrance. From the terrace, there’s a door into the building that takes a small maneuver to get through. Beyond that, access to the rooms was fine, with an elevator to the upper floors. I did miss having an adapted bathroom. At night, cars often pass on the nearby road, but closing the window takes care of the noise. The rooms are spacious and bright, and a lot of care has gone into the decor. It’s a wonderful place to relax and switch off. Thanks for looking after us.

We were shown around and heard about the hotel’s history, which was a lovely touch. The staff were very friendly, and the homemade food was delicious. Breakfast was included in the price and the buffet was excellent. The whole place was beautiful, from the garden and pool to the terrace, lounges, bedrooms and dining room. Everything was decorated with great care and kept in meticulous condition. It surpassed what we’d expected, and I hope to come back.

I left feeling completely ripped off. We paid 400 euros for two nights for two adults and a teenager, expecting a lot after seeing the pool and garden photos. Those were the only parts that saved the stay for me. The owners’ “guided tour” lasted about ten rushed minutes. We arrived during the owner’s lunch hour, and he hurriedly showed us around with another couple. Most of the explanation was about which common areas we could and couldn’t use. Then he took us to the Castillo room. The bleach smell was so strong it put me off as soon as we walked in, and there are cleaning products that don’t smell like bleach. One toilet had no toilet paper. A large towel had holes, and most of the towels were very worn. The bed was badly made, while the decorative pillows had been put away in the closet, with pillowcases too small for them. There was dust in several spots. The TV downstairs didn’t work because the connection didn’t reach, and the shower had weak pressure, so getting enough water took a long time. We’d read that breakfast was especially good, and had high hopes for the buffet. The Pilar mentioned in some reviews, who makes homemade torrijas, was nowhere to be seen. Instead, two girls seemed poorly prepared for serving guests and not keen to help. One wore house flip-flops and shuffled around looking tired. You had to go into the kitchen to be served, and there wasn’t even a proper greeting or an offer of coffee or toast. The free buffet was a letdown too. The juices tasted like chemicals and came in tomato sauce bottles. There were four small packaged croissants, the kind you can get at Mercadona, and a processed sponge cake that seemed to be put out every day because nobody ate it. In an area known for good cheese and cold cuts, they could at least have served a decent cheese. The two girls they hired also clean the rooms, and the owners are rarely around. Two Valencians have invested in a business they don’t know how to manage. I felt totally scammed. I don’t recommend it.
