Quiet, good value, and run by easygoing, nice people. It’s a very pleasant place, though basic and without frills.

The real luxury is the peaceful setting, the views, and the chance to meet people, rather than the bungalows themselves. You can enjoy your own space or spend time with others, whichever you prefer. It’s comfortable and affordable, works well for couples or solo travelers, and has laundry facilities. A good choice if you want to be close to nature and have some peace and quiet.

I’ve been here three times now and would happily spend another holiday here. The owners are incredibly friendly and always helpful, and there’s an old dog plus several cats. Don’t expect luxury: for €22 a night, you get a small wooden cabin for one person, sometimes two. Bathrooms and toilets are shared and cleaned regularly, though two cabins have their own bathrooms. Everyone can use the kitchen, which makes it easy to meet interesting people from different backgrounds. The view from the top is fantastic. Banana plantations surround the property, and the road is quite steep, so having a car or another way to get around is recommended.
