This is a quiet escape from the rat race, with stunning local views, geography, and people. The pool was freezing in late July, and the sea of cloud here tends to limit the sunshine. I would have given five stars if not for the hypocrisy around the no-parties house rule. One day our “hostess” had her friends and family over, took over the pool, and left cigarette ends and food waste all around it. Some guests even sat drinking on one of our PRIVATE balconies. Watch out for that.

Cande was so attentive and kind, making sure we were comfortable. We spent a peaceful, romantic weekend at this charming place and loved the fireplace and the chance to escape the daily grind. Highly recommended, and thanks for a wonderful weekend.

The management was friendly and cordial, and the apartments were nicely decorated, organized, and maintained. There’s a communal pool and several areas that let each group have some privacy, so it works well for different uses. The last stretch up to the property is steep if you’re coming straight from the highway, so take care on the way there. The return is easy, and you can reach the highway in one go.

The houses are beautiful, well equipped, and great value. They even let us check in late at no extra charge, which was a lovely touch. The pool is a little far from the upstairs rooms, but that barely affected our stay. A perfect 10, highly recommended! 👏🏻

We celebrated a birthday at La Tanquera and had a wonderful time. The person managing the properties made it feel like home. Service was excellent, the facilities were fantastic, and everything was spotless. We loved our stay and promise we’ll return. Thank you for everything.
