The Wi-Fi was the main reason I chose this place, and it doesn’t work. I emailed beforehand to check that it would be good because I needed to work here. I’ve been here two weeks and will stay a third, but reception keeps putting me off with talk of meetings and more waiting. A friendly smile doesn’t help when the connection still isn’t working. There are other problems too. Our room has cockroaches, and reception gave us spray. The staff member said they’d normally call pest control, but that hasn’t happened. The rooms are drafty and very cold without heating, though radiators are available from reception if you ask. Parking is not provided, so you have to find a street space, and the area can be crowded. Breakfast is fine only if you get to a clean table by 7:30. After 9:00, the dining room and staff are overwhelmed. The bedsheets are sometimes too big or too small to fit properly. Towels are changed every day, even when unused, which seems outdated. They could simply replace the ones left on the floor. Our cleaning lady is exceptionally nice, but that doesn’t fix the other issues. I’d definitely book a premium room. I learned at reception that standard rooms don’t include things like a kettle, which costs an extra €10 per day. Changing pool towels also costs €10, no matter how long you stay. The gym is pretty good, but has no towels, and it’s practically out in the open in front of pool guests. You have to pay at check-in, so there’s no money left to hold back for services that aren’t provided.
