The heated pool was the reason we chose this house, so it was disappointing that we couldn’t use it over the weekend. On Friday, the owner said she’d added too much product and advised us not to put our heads underwater in case it got in our mouths or eyes. We only dipped our toes in, and the water was cold anyway because it wasn’t heated. We won’t be back. There’s plenty of room on the property, and all the cars fit easily. Olive and lemon trees decorate the grounds, with swings and a tent containing two very large tables and enough chairs to fill them. The house itself was freshly cleaned and tidy. The beds were made and comfortable, though the sheets were flannel. The bathroom was adapted for people with reduced mobility, and the bedrooms, extra beds, and kitchen-dining area were all good. Hot water lasted for everyone, Wi-Fi coverage was good, and there was a large fridge inside plus a chest freezer outside for extra drinks. Shower gel and shampoo weren’t provided. Although both houses were available, only one was opened for us, and the one we stayed in was fine. The barbecue setup could use some attention. It was windy, and there’s no shelter, which made starting the fire and watching the food harder. A pergola or a more protected spot might help. There was enough firewood to keep it going, but hardly any small sticks to get it started, so we used kitchen paper and firelighters. A choice of different wood would have been useful. The only lighter didn’t work, and matches weren’t much use, so we ended up using our own lighter, which someone happened to have in the car despite nobody smoking. There was no poker or hook for moving the embers either. We tried one of the chimney poles, but it was too short for the barbecue and reaching the logs at the back meant risking a burn. The grills were okay, though they could be replaced. We spent the weekend there and found it okay, but there were quite a few things that could be improved.

The landlady paid close attention to everything during our stay. The accommodation is roomy, peaceful, and has all the amenities. I’d gladly recommend it.

We came as a group with our kids and dogs, and had such a lovely weekend. The owner was kind and helpful, and we enjoyed a barbecue and time in the pool. It was a properly relaxing break, and we’re leaving very happy. Thanks, Juani 🩵

We didn’t use the pool because it was too cold at that time of year, but the garden and outdoor spaces were still a real treat. We spent long afternoons outside enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Indoors, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the fireplace made the evenings feel especially cosy. The kitchen was well equipped, and the house had everything we needed. I stayed at this charming country house in 2025, and the owner made us feel at home from the start. She was thoughtful, kind, and always attentive to what we needed. The place was spotless, with lovely decor and lots of care in the details. It’s a great spot to unwind from everyday stress, whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or with friends. I can’t wait to return.
