The receptionist was friendly, and the lighting was just about adequate. But the bathrooms were alarming, and the electrical panels looked worrying too. Cleanliness really needs work. I’d only stay here as a stopover if the competition had no space.

The best part for us was the quiet and being surrounded by nature. We spent 15 days here and felt comfortable the whole time, and the prices were the best we found in the area. The pitches are spacious, each with an electricity hookup, and there are water points every few meters. Yes, there are leaves around the pitches, but all those trees provide welcome shade so the tent isn’t sitting in 40-degree heat and you can eat out of the sun. The river runs right alongside the campsite, and you can get down to it in just a few meters. Before the bridge there are spectacular pools, with few or no people around. The bridge itself is beautiful, though it gets so crowded there’s nowhere to put a chair. We found the facilities very clean, a full 10/10. I didn’t see a dirty bathroom, and the shower and toilet block is quite large. The pool was fantastic too, a good size, with lovely views and a nice water temperature. There are umbrellas and trees for plenty of shade, plus a kiosk and restrooms right beside it. They put on lively events like water parties and white parties. Dani, the lifeguard, was very sweet with the kids and friendly. The staff made things easy from the start. Reception was closed when we arrived at 3:00 PM, but they opened it for us without a problem. Check-in went well, and the owner and her husband were both lovely and kind. There’s a little shop with useful basics at reasonable prices. Try the slushies, they’re delicious and a great deal. The bar-restaurant was phenomenal and very reasonably priced too, especially the spectacular chicken wings. We’ll definitely be back.

The campsite is quiet, and the staff work hard and are helpful. It’s a little old-fashioned, and we visited during Holy Week, so I can’t say what the summer crowds are like. The restaurant’s manager or owner is quite a character. If you’re towing a caravan, avoid street C by the toilet and shower block. The entrance has a substantial drop from the main road and is full of potholes and protruding roots. I scraped the underside of my car going in, then the back of the caravan on the way out. Past that, the road narrows like a funnel, so keep an eye on the mirrors and the sides of the caravan before you reach the flat area. They need about three meters of concrete at the street C access, or should keep large, wide caravans out. Otherwise, it’s fine. 👍

I love coming here 😍. Another year at the campsite and it’s improved a lot. The lighting in the free camping area and the bathrooms are fantastic. Highly recommend it!
