Bottle-feeding a calf and getting to drive a tractor gave the children stories they’ll remember for years. Ana and José were patient with them and had great suggestions for places to eat nearby. And Pin, thank you for all your kindness, care, and wisdom. I’ll raise a glass of cider to you. The stay at Bolero I felt special from the minute we arrived. The welcome was so warm, and every little detail had been thought through. Finding out it was the "First Rural Tourism House in Asturias" and meeting its pioneer, Remedios Fernández, was the highlight for me. Hearing about her story, what she’s built, and all the work she’s put in brought me to tears. Thank you, Remedios. You’re an inspiration. The house is very well equipped, and the riverside setting, lovely weather, farm animals, and chance for children to get involved in farm work make it a wonderful place for anyone who loves nature and the countryside. We came away with a perfect holiday and a lasting memory of Asturias’s wonderful, hardworking people, alongside all the scenery, beaches, weather, and delicious food. Kisses to the girls. Mathias and Liam send their love to Cebolla.
