We loved the beautiful, clean, quiet room and the little lawn where you can sit outside. The property is lovely, and the two staff members we met were incredibly kind and helpful. The owner met us outside, helped with our bikes, and let us lock them away. Since we arrived late and exhausted, he also said we could check out whenever we wanted so we could sleep in. He even offered us a lift into town because he was concerned about us biking back up the huge hill after dinner. We turned him down, and after a bottle of wine, that hill was quite a challenge, lol. Luarca is an amazing town, too, and I'd recommend spending time there on your journey.

The receptionist was a great, funny lady, but that was the only good part. I'm traveling solo on the Camino and only wanted a bed and a bathtub to ease my muscle cramps. The advertised bathtub was so tiny it wouldn't even fit a five-year-old. The room had one window facing a dirty wall, with no daylight, and it was dark, humid, and horribly uncomfortable. The hotel is right on a busy road, too. I politely asked at reception if I could cancel. The owner came over, made me wait ten minutes, threw my money back at me, and started yelling in Spanish. I offered to use Google Translate to hear her comments, but she told me off. This might have been okay 60 years ago, but now it's run down. I understand it's a family hotel, but it felt like the current owner hasn't cared for it in decades. Why not sell it, get a beach house, and make room for younger hotel concepts run by people who enjoy what they do? :) I walked just 3 km farther into town, and wow, it's stunningly beautiful. Walk the extra mile, literally. It's worth it.

Good location, close to the Camino, with a grocery store across the street. We recently stayed for a week's vacation in the area and also used one of the owner's other properties. The hotel has been remodeled and updated.

The room was spotless and had everything we needed to relax. The accommodation is in a beautiful village, just five minutes from the center, but surrounded by peace and nature. Abelardo was exceptionally kind, gave us tips on what to visit, made check-in easy, and was always available.
