La Regalina

The lunchtime menu was really good value. This is a small campsite with a pool, bar/restaurant, and little shop. Fine for a few days, though the weather can let you down.

I’ve never been so angry about the way someone spoke to me. The woman who worked in the shop and restaurant, and owned the place, was absolutely unfriendly. I’ll never go back.

We had a wonderful few days here, and it was such a comfortable place for our first camping trip. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly campsite, well placed for exploring Asturias, its beaches, and the surrounding scenery. We rented bikes to explore the town and ride to Ermita de la Regalina, a spectacular spot above the beach. The receptionist was super friendly and showed us around the campsite and facilities, gave us tips for pitching the tent, and suggested places to visit. The bathrooms were spotless, and the cleaning staff were lovely. There’s a washing machine, clothesline, dishwashing area, children’s swing, and a beautiful pool. The bar staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and well priced, and the woman running the shop was incredibly helpful.

The pool was fantastic, and having direct access from apartment 1 at Casita de Piedra felt like a real luxury. There was private parking right next door, plus a café and supermarket across the street with very good prices, just a few cents more than any other supermarket. We didn’t need to drive to Luarca, about 15 km away, which would have wasted fuel. Everything else was very good too, though the ceilings and walls could have been a little cleaner. A simple broom would have taken care of the small amount of dirt we found. It was a very pleasant stay, and we’ll be back. Thank you!
