The location is beautiful, and the place is relaxed and fairly priced. It’s mostly self-service, so I hardly saw the friendly innkeeper. For anyone walking the Camino Sanabres, I’d choose this over an albergue.

Hotel Rural La Casa De Irene sits right along the Camino Sanabrés, and the wi-fi worked reliably. There’s no staff on site, but the online messages made getting the room key easy, and registration was simple too.

The owners were kind, attentive and helpful, even though I had to cut my short stay short when Spain banned travel the next day. It’s a lovely little guesthouse right on the Camino de Santiago. Baloo the dog is very friendly, and I already miss him. The two cats are nice too.

The owners were very welcoming, and breakfast was more than we could manage, especially the homemade French omelette made with eggs from their own hens. We stayed one night and had a warm, comfortable room and a hot bath. We’re a couple from the UK, walking from Sevilla, and this was one of the nicest places we’d found on the VDLP Sanabres Camino. If you’re walking the Camino and your budget has a little room, it’s a good place to get a proper rest.

Breakfast was included in the rate and served by the owner. The restored country house in Lubian is peaceful, and the warm room has decor that suits its rural style. A lovely BnB stay.
