Our host was attentive and spoke English. We had plenty of room inside and outside, and the casas were nicely presented. There were cold dip pools and sunbeds ready for the sunny days, plus gas BBQs. It's a peaceful, tucked-away place in a charming little rural village. We'd happily come back for another holiday.

The area around Lubrin is lovely and quiet, with the town an easy walk from Cortijo Fuente Arriba. It's a tiny, charming place. We had a really relaxing holiday here, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Our cozy cortjio had a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed. If you want a mountain break away from the main tourist spots, Cortijo Fuente Arriba beside Lubrin is a great fit.

November was a lovely time to visit. The days were cool enough for mountain walks, and in the evenings we could unwind by the wood-burning stove or have dinner at one of the tavernas in Lubrin. John was a great host, and the facilities and location were just right for a really relaxing holiday. We've just come back and absolutely loved it.

Getting to the coast takes about 30 minutes along a winding road, and Cabo de Gata is a 40-minute drive away. We had a very pleasant, peaceful stay in a small house with a pool. It was simple, but had everything we needed, and the farmhouses seem to be getting better. Lubrín has excellent tapas at reasonable prices. The price was very good for the quality of the stay.
