The meal was the highlight of the stay for me: Jeff cooked an incredible dinner from vegetables grown on their farm. I was the only Pilgrim there that day, and the meal included Galician soup, baked pepper, a main course, and dessert. It was the best food of my whole Camino. Jeff also taught me a lot about the history of the Galician castle, food, art, and language. The 200-year-old castle is beautifully decorated, with amazing artwork, and I had a very comfortable stay. Jeff and Anna made me feel like family. Anna was away that day, but called to check I was comfortable, which meant a lot. On December 23, 2024, while walking the Camino, Jeff picked me up from the center of Portomarin and dropped me at the start of the walk the next day. That free pickup and drop-off is why I gave the location five stars. Staying here over Christmas was the highlight of my trip. Thanks, Jeff and Anna, for welcoming me into your home over the holiday. I hope I can return someday. It's a must-stay in the region if you want a comfortable place, good food, and a chance to learn about the area.

We loved this place and hope we get to stay again. The rural setting is beautiful and relaxing, with plenty of happy farm animals to meet. Jeff was cheerful and helpful, and his hospitality was lovely. Dinner was great, with local wine and beer, and breakfast was delicious and generous enough to set us up for the day. The accommodation was great. I'd highly recommend it for singles, couples, or families, and think it's a must-stay. Thanks for having us, Jeff.

After a long day walking, this was a perfect place to rest and feel looked after. Ana was so sweet, bringing us ice-cold Estrella Galicia beer and delicious carrot cake. I'd definitely recommend it.
