Avoid this albergue. The stairs smelled awful and the whole place, including the bathrooms, was very dirty. There’s basically no kitchen, and neither the washing machine nor the dryer worked. There was nowhere to hang clothes except in the bathroom, where they didn’t dry. The room was very hot at night. It was the worst albergue of the trip. They charge you through Booking first, because otherwise you might arrive, refuse to pay, and leave.

For 35€ we got a private double room with plastic mattresses and thin paper sheets. There are blankets and plug sockets, and no curfew. Check-in staff were friendly, and the attached cafe/bar looks nice. It’s an okay place to get a bed and wash if you arrive late on the Camino. The shared bathroom is mixed and offers little privacy. The kitchen is limited to a microwave and hot plate, with no cutlery, plates, pots, or pans.

In October 2017, we paid 45€ for one night for two people in a double room with a private bathroom. It’s a standard hostel in the city center, inside the wall.
