Hotel Mirador Las Grullas

The peaceful, quiet setting is lovely, though there’s nowhere within walking distance. Breakfast was great, and dinner was okay, but the puddings were a delight. I’d come back just to work my way through the dessert list. Our room was beautiful and spacious, tastefully decorated, with a huge comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a great shower.

The setting feels a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it’s very quiet, surrounded by open fields and great views. I loved the room, and the air conditioning and bathroom were good. The swimming pool is very nice and large, though it was a pity that some of the outdoor furniture there was broken.

I was disappointed to learn, after booking a stay at Mirador las Grullas, that the pool was closed. I only got that information by WhatsApp after making the reservation, and the hotel refused to refund me. Hotels need to be clear about their amenities and communicate changes professionally. Potential guests should be aware of the lack of transparency and consider alternatives if they want a more reliable, customer-oriented stay.

Free-roaming chickens and a really interesting collection of cottages make this place feel like a wonderful retreat from busy town and city lodgings. It’s way out in the middle of nowhere, down a dirt road, with incredible views over the rooftops. Worth stopping on the way to the Picos de Europa.
