The views over the countryside make you want to linger, and there’s a snug lounge with a fireplace and a thoughtfully stocked wine cellar. This little hotel in a tiny village has a calm rural feel, with service that went beyond what I expected. The decor feels carefully chosen, from the characterful furniture to all the little details. M. J. and J. L. are wonderful hosts who make you feel truly welcome, and J. L.'s cooking is authentic, creative, and full of flavor. I was already thinking about coming back before I’d even left.

The owners were so kind and attentive, and the quiet here is incredible. My friends and I came for the day, ate really well without spending much, and will probably stay a few days this summer. I rarely remember to write reviews, and I’m usually quite critical, but this place deserved one. If you live near Guadalajara or are passing through and want to switch off and relax, it’s a great day trip. We’ll definitely return.

We feel completely at home here. This was the second year in a row we celebrated my father’s birthday as a family, and the staff were friendly, professional, and keen to make it a lovely occasion. The place is beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend it. One of the best around. Don’t miss the lovely garden porch or the delicious lamb with potatoes. The roomy outdoor areas are lovely for a quiet break in this welcoming village, and the decor is beautiful throughout. M. Jesús and José Luis are delightful hosts, attentive to every detail and very professional. They made us feel right at home. A fantastic stay at Hotel Rural El Castejón de Luzaga, highly recommended!
