We found check-in easy once we located the place, and the room was comfortable. It’s on the same floor as Europcar, though the hotel was a bit tricky to track down because different elevators label floors differently as -1, 0, 1, 2, and so on. We stayed in T4 before an early flight from T1. The airport has one restaurant open 24 hours, and our room’s minibar was nicely stocked. I heard a low rumble a few times, possibly trains or planes, but slept well overall.

At that price, the dirty walls, mold and someone’s hair in the shower, broken AC controller, and unreliable door lock are hard to accept. The room has no windows, which I knew, but it also shakes every few minutes when metro trains pass. You have to check the lock before leaving. They even charge €2.50 for a bottle of water. For half the money, I’d choose Ibis or another hotel: better quality, a window, a free shuttle or enough savings for a taxi, and sometimes breakfast included. This was a terrible price-to-quality deal, and I regret booking it. I can’t understand ratings above one star. That sort of setup might be acceptable in a cheap hostel, but not the most expensive hotel around.

The room was modern, spacious enough, and surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel, making it comfortable for an overnight stop. We arrived late and had an early flight the next morning, so HelloSky Air Rooms Madrid was ideally placed. The welcome and service were friendly, and the room was as expected once we had the keys. The AC wasn’t very effective and left the room warmer than I liked. The price seemed steep for what was included, though the location is what you’re paying for.

You’re paying for a room at the airport and the convenience, not a hotel-style hospitality experience. We got a room, beds, a key, and a place to stay between flights. Our flight landed at 10:45pm and the connection was at 10:45am the next day, and traveling with kids made this option a lifesaver. It cost a lot, but we didn’t have many alternatives. We booked an executive room with two beds. Adding another bed cost $40, on top of the $250 room charge. We hesitated even to use the lotion they supplied, but needed the extra bed, so we paid. There was a minibar with a price list above it. I wasn’t expecting a handout, but free water would have been a nice gesture. Even a pitcher by the entrance with plastic cups would be better than trying to charge for every single item.
