The location is handy, right by the metro, with a Mercadona nearby. Madrid is expensive, I get that, but the room is small and dark. At this price, I don't think it'd be hard to find somewhere nicer.

The rooms were okay, clean, and well designed, and the staff were really helpful. Unfortunately, the lack of disposable products at the hotel is a serious problem.

The constant construction about 20 feet away was loud all day. They moved me to the back after the first night, but I could still hear it, and with the window needing to stay open, it was a nuisance. I also had to worry about smoke drifting up from below whenever the window was open. The room was noisy in other ways too. Bare floors and doors slamming each time they were used woke me several times, and people were still moving around at 3 am. My key also needed reprogramming almost every day. Staff told me to test it before taking the elevator, which makes it seem like a problem affecting guests generally. The advertised air conditioning didn’t work. Managers said the hotel could run either heat or AC, and the heat was on despite temperatures reaching 75 degrees. I need airflow to feel comfortable, but the windows barely open and there was no fan. Saying the hotel has AC when it isn’t available feels deceptive. I’ve stayed at Ibis many times, but I’ll look elsewhere next time and ask management for an explanation.
