ARTIEM Madrid Hotel

Carlos at reception was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Everyone on staff was welcoming, too. The hotel was quiet and really nice, and I liked the eco-minded approach throughout. Our room was cozy and comfortable, with a pleasant street view. I even received a welcome card, which I’ve never had at another accommodation. The hotel is well placed for getting to the metro or bus. We’ll definitely return someday. Thanks, ARTIEM Madrid.

The breakfast was very good and worth paying for, and having the hotel bar and lounge food and drinks included was a big bonus. There’s also a small gym. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and housekeeping checked in each day to see if we needed anything. It’s not right by the center, but getting around is manageable: a bus stop is about 20 meters away, more lines are a 3-10 minute walk, and Metro Line 7 is around 10 minutes away. By taxi, the airport takes about 10 minutes and costs €20-25; the bus takes 35-45 minutes. A 10/10 stay for the price.

The Green Room was a real highlight, with free snacks and drinks available 24/7. Breakfast had a very good range and quality, though more hot dishes, especially vegetarian ones, would’ve been welcome. The hotel is quite far from the center, but I like walking and managed to explore on foot. Buses and the metro are options too. From the airport I used the 200 bus to a nearby stop for 5 Euros, then took an Uber back to T1 for just 9.5 Euros. I had a deluxe room at the front facing the road. It was spacious and mostly quiet, though now and then I heard children walking above and other guests late at night. Compared with a lot of Spanish accommodation, it was quiet. Check-in was quick after doing the process online, and the staff who greeted me were friendly. As someone who travels regularly, I try to be fair, but for the price and quality this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Thanks to the lovely staff.

We were unsure about being so far from central Madrid, but there’s a metro station only eight minutes away. The neighborhood is peaceful, with apartments, parks, little restaurants with great food, a small grocery shop, and a local church where we went to Mass. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help. Our bed was comfortable, with three pillow types to choose from, and the bathroom had a great shower. Free snacks were available as well. We stayed three nights last week and would happily return.
