Hotel Barajas Plaza Madrid

The room price was acceptable for its quality, but that doesn't make up for the basic security problems. We got a lockbox access code over WhatsApp, but the lockbox was already open. Our room was unlocked too, so nothing stopped anyone from getting in before we arrived.

Internet service was the biggest problem, far below acceptable standards. You couldn't even open a basic webpage, never mind watch anything on YouTube. Guests should get a refund for having no usable internet, and I strongly advise against choosing this hotel. The room was tiny, with only a narrow passage between two small beds. The bathroom was just as small and outdated. There was one chair, and the "table" was only a board fixed to the wall.

Maybe I don't know enough about Madrid, but this barely felt like a hotel. It was basically a hostel, like a college dorm room. I paid €200 a night and wouldn't pay more than €50 for this place. I travel the world, and I stayed in a 4-star place for less the night before.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and the location is very good. Cleaning was okay, and the bed was comfortable enough. But the rooms were quite bad for noise. The thin walls let through footsteps, people running, and suitcases being pushed, all clearly and loudly. If you want a quiet, restful stay, this isn't the place. If noise doesn't bother you, the location may work well.
