Don Luis

The receptionist got us a room even though we arrived well before check-in, which was a huge relief after a transatlantic flight. They also arranged a ride to the airport for our connecting flight. It's nice being close to the plaza, with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel is basic, but comfortable and clean, and we had a good experience.

The reception and room were reasonable, and it was comfortable enough for a night. There's some commercial activity nearby, along with small restaurants. A decent place to spend the night with a bit of comfort.

My room smells of cigarettes. Do yourself a favor and spend more for a decent hotel. I don't even want to get under the bed covers. I can't believe this is the kind of room they give people, and I have no idea how anyone gives this place five stars.

We stayed here at the start and end of our cycling trip, and it worked really well for the airport. It’s close enough to walk with light luggage. The staff helped us lock our bikes in the secure car park and kept our bike bags and boxes safely inside for the week. The clean rooms were a good size and comfortable, and there’s a nice square nearby with plenty of places to eat. I left an expensive electronic item in the room on our last night. Sergio got back to my email right away, confirmed they’d found it, and helped package it and arrange shipping. Really good service, thanks so much, Sergio. I’d gladly stay here again next time I’m in Madrid.
