Hotel Don Pio

The rooms are really comfortable and well presented, and the lounge and dining area are comfortable too. What keeps bringing us back is the welcome: everyone we’ve met, from housekeeping to reception, the bar, restaurant and kitchen, has been lovely and greeted us with a smile. We’ve stayed a couple of times already and are going back twice this month. Definitely recommend staying here.

I only found out at reception after arriving that my rooms weren’t confirmed. They had my phone number and email, but I got no message, even though the receptionist said he’d sent one. The service was awful, and I’d never come back. After reading other reviews, I also wonder if they discriminate based on nationality or race. The way people are treated seems very noticeable. I’d give this minus 10 if Google allowed it.

There’s an old-fashioned care for detail here, and everything was very clean. The rooms are lovely, with wooden floors, and breakfast came with freshly made coffee. It’s a nice, inexpensive place about halfway between the city centre and the airport.

This place feels outdated and doesn’t seem like a four-star hotel. It’s really noisy, both from the street and inside, where you can hear people talking in the neighboring rooms. They even charge 2.20 euros for a tiny 0.2 ml bottle of water, which is usually free. Avoid it.
