Erase un Hotel

The studio was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was clean enough. The staff were helpful and nice. But there was no coffee maker, kettle, or liquid hand soap, even though shower gel, shampoo, and a bar of soap were provided. There aren't vending machines or hotel services in the studio, which is about 100 meters from the hotel. We only learned that after booking. It also felt silly to have to leave a review to get one tiny bottle of water for free. The cookies, snacks, or chocolate could be offered in exchange for a review instead.

The service was excellent, and the hotel is within walking distance of Bernabeu. The air conditioning was useful, although I had to set the temperature much lower than I wanted to get it comfortable. If you're going to a Real Madrid game and find a good price, it may be worth it, but this wasn't a particularly comfortable stay. My room was affordable, but extremely small and not very clean when I arrived. A strong bleach smell lingered, and the comfortable bed took up about half the room. There was no closet or wardrobe, so there wasn't much space to unpack. The shower and toilet shared one area, which felt unsanitary; after a shower the whole floor was wet and the toilet was hard to use. I also had only cheap soap and shampoo, with no conditioner or lotion. Thin walls meant loud noise outside woke me every morning.

I was in Madrid for one night before an international flight, and this was a great fit for a solo female traveller. My princess-themed room had its own name, a vanity station, and a high chair. It was clean and cute, and came with complimentary snacks, green tea, and water. The 24-hour reception and door locks made me feel safe. The reception team spoke English and were so helpful, even weighing my oversized luggage on an industrial scale so I could feel at ease before flying. The location was great, near metro stations that take you into the city center. I'll definitely stay here again on my next Madrid visit.

The breakfast was good and very affordable, and the service was good too. It's a nice little hotel with comfortable rooms. Mine was on the ground floor, so the window was hard to reach and there wasn't a view. Since the room had recently been renovated, it smelled of paint. I got onto a chair to open the window and ran the ceiling fan to air it out. After that, it was fine.
