The location is great, and clearly other couples also come here for a break from the city. But the hotel could do more to make that kind of stay comfortable. It was quiet at first, but families with kids made it less relaxing, with children screaming and running around. Some guests also talked loudly without much decorum. We were really disappointed to find the bar and restaurant closed for renovations, so we had to order food on Uber Eats/Glovo. Having no food in the hotel added stress to a day meant as a city escape. We would've cancelled if we'd known the restaurant was shut. I paid 18€ for a romantic room detail, but it was a disappointing surprise, with little thought put into the setup. The TVs are very old, and apps like Netflix won't work without a firestick or chromecast. The minibar fridge didn't work, so the drinks were hot, which is especially unhelpful in summer. The washing sink wouldn't drain either.

A lovely breakfast, priced well for what they served, and helpful staff. The room and facilities were great too. It's a peaceful, affordable place outside town, with a quick, cheap 20m taxi ride into central Madrid.

I've been here twice for business. The building is solid, the walls are thick, and the location is very quiet, so there's no noise; rooms are a good size as well. Book a balcony room and you actually get a door leading to a ground-floor terrace with chairs and a table, which is well worth it. The breakfast buffet is very good. Dinner has a pleasant garden view and a one-page menu with enough options, including caesar salad, chicken, pork, beef steak, hamburger, pasta, and more. There's a fridge in the room with various drinks, but no tea or coffee-making setup. They do have takeaway cups at breakfast and dinner. The one drawback is that there's nothing nearby, with the closest shop or restaurant about 2km away. Getting into central Madrid is easy: take the bus from the stop outside to Moncloa metro station, then line 3 for a few stops to Sol. The hotel is usually cheaper than others, but I wouldn't worry, you'll like it. WiFi works well too.

The room was clean enough, though the bed was hard. I also found the lift tiny, the signs poor, and the gate closed. There’s no iron in the room, no free water, and nowhere to get even a coffee during the day. You can order a beer in the restaurant when it’s open, but there aren’t really bar facilities. A very small bottle of water cost €1.75. If you need to stay in this part of town and don’t need amenities, it’s OK, but for the price, I wouldn’t choose or recommend it. It lacks the little touches.
