The staff were friendly and helpful. Even though checkout was at 12, they let me leave my bags until 7. It's great value, with small but nicely decorated, comfortable and very clean rooms, plus useful amenities like a TV, fridge, kettle and safe. The location is very good for tourists: Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Prado and Reina Sofia are walkable, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Metro stations are close too.

Kind staff and great value for money. The rooms are clean and well equipped, with soundproof windows. A perfect choice for a comfortable stay in the city center.

A couple of weeks before my trip, the hotel cancelled my booking without explaining why. First they emailed asking me to call about my credit card, which I couldn't do from Australia. I emailed back to ask what the issue was and didn't hear from them. Then the booking was cancelled. Payment was supposed to be made at the property, so I don't understand why they needed more card details. I booked through Expedia thinking it would be safe, but it wasn't. If you want to be sure your booking will hold, I wouldn't book this hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel sits amid all the city bustle, it was quiet inside and I got a good night's sleep.
