Hotel ILUNION Atrium

The hotel has a nice restaurant where you can relax, but it's expensive and the food is just okay. It's also close to two bus stops and two malls. The room was spacious and clean enough, though the walls were so thin we could hear everything and everyone. Housekeeping didn't speak English, which made communication hard. It was easier to talk to the front desk.

After a long day at a seminar, I arrived around 10:00 PM exhausted, unpacked our luggage, and got ready to rest. Then I found there were no toiletries at all, no shampoo or soap. The toilet was broken and leaking, and the heating wasn't working, so the room was cold and unpleasant. After several complaints, someone finally came up around 11:00 PM and offered to move us. By then we'd unpacked everything, and my family, including tired people already resting, couldn't reasonably move rooms in the middle of the night. Having several basic things fail at once showed a serious lack of preparation, maintenance, and consideration. Arriving late and finding these problems was unacceptable. I've attached photos of the issues. I strongly don't recommend this hotel, especially for families or business travelers who expect basic comfort and functionality.

We had a short, pleasant stay. The service was great, the room and bed were clean, and the online check-in and check-out were convenient. We also really liked the breakfast and cafe. The location was easy to reach from the airport. One thing felt unnecessary: staff said “Namaste” to us and assumed we were Indian, even though we're not. As tourists, we were treated nicely, but staff could use some education about cultural sensitivity.

Lara at Ilunion Atrium Madrid made my stay stress-free and enjoyable. She was efficient, attentive to details, and always willing to help with a smile. From our first interaction, she was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, going above and beyond to make sure everything was right. It's rare to find that mix of professionalism and real care for guests. She's a real asset to the hotel, and a big reason I'd happily return to Ilunion Atrium and recommend it to others.
