The main drawback was how much sound came through the walls. Our neighbors were quiet, but we could still hear them talking, laughing, using the toilet and shower, as if they were in the same room. The room itself was plain, just a bed, table and small chair, and clean enough. I brought spare towels and a blanket because of the bad reviews, but didn’t need them: there were two big clean white towels and a small floor towel, and the room was warm enough that the extra electric heater wasn’t needed. The water temperature and pressure were both good, though the shower drained slowly, so I had to be quick to keep it from overflowing. Check-in was easy and much better than queuing at a desk. I think every room has a window; the cleaner had several rooms open, and all the ones I passed had one.

I was worried after reading the reviews, since we’d already booked, but the stay turned out fine. The room was clean and as described, small but enough for two. There was no air conditioner, but the fan was fine even with my hot flashes. We were there in October, not during the summer. The only issue was the extra charges they brought up at the last minute. I’d book through hotels.com, expedia, or something similar so the site can handle that instead of you.

The facilities are pretty basic, so I’d say it suits a short stay best. I was happy with the apartment, though: the room was very clean, and it’s in a good spot near the metro. I stayed two nights and had a great time.

The room was cold and dusty, and they didn’t answer when we called or messaged to ask for a heater. They only replied after we said we’d report it.
