Whenever I come to Spain for Real Madrid soccer matches, this is one of the best places I’ve stayed. The staff are kind and helpful, and there’s a 24-hour helpdesk. Aldi and a 24-hour Carrefour supermarket are nearby, and it’s a 15-to 20-minute walk to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. It’s quiet, cozy, and budget-friendly. Rooms might be a bit small for families, but I recommend the place.

I definitely won’t return. When I called, the receptionist picked up and just put the phone aside, leaving me unable to reach anyone until the next shift. Then the next woman treated me with the worst disrespect. What a pity.

I’d never visited Madrid before, and the woman working the night shifts on June 17 and 18 and the morning of June 19, 2025, gave us lovely advice and tips on what to do. Her service made a real difference to our stay. Big credit to her! We had a great two-night visit.

For my six-night stay, this was the best choice I could have made. The receptionists were welcoming, practical, and helpful, and the room was perfectly clean with everything needed for a comfortable visit. The outside of the building isn’t elegant or beautiful, but once you’re inside reception, it feels different. It’s about 10 minutes from El Corte Inglés and C79 Building, a business building with conference and meeting rooms, so I’d recommend it for work or exploring Madrid. There’s no breakfast, and the coffee machine at reception wasn’t working, but a grocery store is right next door, with breakfast choices and restaurants around the area. I could stay here again when I return to Madrid.

Quatro Caminos is a quiet, low-key part of the city, and this affordable hostal is there. Barajas Airport is within 45 minutes by metro. Check out nearby Mercado Maravillas, one of the city’s biggest ethnic markets.
