Free parking was available, which is definitely handy in Madrid. The owners seem to have made a good faith effort to create a great hotel, and the staff were nice. Still, it was a bit unsettling overall, because lots of little things fell short. It was clean but not spotless, with hair on the floor and bed; there were plenty of amenities, but some didn't work, like the hairdryer. Cleaning showed up just five minutes before checkout. Those are the details that can make the difference between a hotel you want to return to and one you don't.

The place was new and clean, and the host stayed in touch all the time, even without WhatsApp. The location was good, with two metro stations within walking distance and bus stops going to the city center. My only suggestion is to add a regular kettle in the kitchen alongside the coffee machines.

I barely slept more than a few hours each night. The room was right next to the street on the ground floor, and the walls were so thin we heard every conversation, every person entering or leaving, and water running from other rooms all night. The cheap, uncomfortable pillows didn't help. I included photos to show the ground-floor location and where the room is. We were in the room called “Prague,” and the whole experience was awful. This isn't a hotel, an apartment or a shared stay. It's something else entirely. Don't book this place if you care about your well-being.

The hotel felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, though there are 2 Metro-Staions nearby. The room was clean, nice and new, but not very functional. In Amsterdam room no. 2, the room door and cupboard door seriously get in each other's way, so removing the cupboard doors would help. A shelf for language close to the bed would be nice too. Cafe and washing are free!
