The gym stood out for an airport hotel: it’s well equipped and handy for a quick workout around a flight. The location is also very convenient, especially for an early departure. A shuttle to any terminal costs about 5 euros and saves the hassle of arranging another ride. I’ve stayed here a couple of times and found it pleasant. The rooms feel a little dated and could use updates, though they’re comfortable enough for a short visit. Some amenities need to be requested from the front desk downstairs instead of being in the room automatically. That wasn’t a major problem, just something to know. It’s a practical choice when you need to be near the airport.

Getting to both the airport and the city center is easy from this location. The rooms have lovely views, and breakfast has a broad selection of good-quality food, quite similar to Turkish-style breakfast. The breakfast team worked efficiently and in a disciplined way. Reception staff were experienced and quick, handling check-in smoothly, while the cleaning team starts at 8:00 AM and keeps the hotel very clean.

We were robbed here on June 16th, literally. My mother had a drink at the bar after we’d just arrived, and someone came in and took her entire purse, passport included. The side door was unlocked at 11pm, and staff didn’t even look at the camera footage right outside it. The front desk did nothing for us. They didn’t call the police and just told us to go to the police station. The service was horrible, with zero sympathy. They offered no compensation at all and even charged us for the supposedly free shuttle because we booked through booking.com instead of directly.

Our early arrival went smoothly, which was a great surprise at Senator Barajas Hotel. The breakfast was very good, and we rested well. The staff were all amazing, kind, and friendly. I’d recommend it and would return when I can.

A handy choice for an early flight: it’s close to the airport, with a clean, spacious room and a comfortable bed. The bathroom also has both a hair dryer and a straightener. Breakfast could have more options, though that comes down to personal preference.
