The Match Madrid

The location is perfect, and everything was very clean. I booked the Economic room, which was fine for two people. The decor is nice, and I liked the mirrors on the wall. There’s no airflow in the room, though, so it gets very humid after a shower.

An odd but nice room, with self check-in and check-out. If you’re at the back of the hotel, lucky you. I think the street-facing rooms are quite noisy, and the sound insulation isn’t good, so you can hear everything. Probably fine for a night or two.

I had a clean, nice single room for one night, and the staff were really attentive. The downside is the noise from other rooms, especially toilets and showers. Still, I’d come back for another one-night stay. It’s very well located, with markets and restaurants nearby.

The room was modern, clean and nice. The only stressful bit was getting into the hotel: it uses self check-in, and I hadn’t received the door code by text because my phone was on airplane mode to avoid roaming charges.
