We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was tricky for Uber Eats to find and isn’t close to public transport. That’s not the hotel’s fault, but it was more of an issue for us because we didn’t have a car.

Oliver Apartamentos was excellent value for money, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it for a clean, comfortable stay in Madrid. The apartment was roomy, spotless and thoughtfully set up. It felt like a home away from home, with a kitchen stocked with what you need, including an espresso machine, toaster and chopping board. There was plenty of wardrobe space for three people, and the bathroom was well equipped, with great light around the mirror that made getting ready easy. A supermarket was a short walk away, and a nearby shopping plaza had H&M, Massimo Dutti, Mango, Zara and other shops, plus cafes and restaurants. The location worked very well. Getting around was easy too: the airport wasn’t far, and the Uber fare was reasonable for my travel budget. The staff were especially helpful and accommodating at check-in and check-out, and quick to handle extra requests when they were reasonably doable.

The Oliver is in a great spot, with supermarkets and Valdemarin plaza just a 2-7 minute walk away. There are lots of restaurants and other shops there. The accommodations were very clean, and the small restaurant on the ground floor serves good coffee, pastries and other food from 8am to 6pm.

I only tried The Oliver for one night because it was near a university I needed to visit, then booked hotel rooms in Chamberrí for the rest of my stay. Looking back, I should have stayed longer. It seems ideal for an extended stay in Madrid, especially if you’re not mainly there as a tourist. It’s far enough from the city to be quiet, while Madrid itself, Argüelles in this case, is only a 5-7 minute drive away. El Barrial Cercanias station is nearby and useful for getting to the airport or into the city if you don’t want to drive. There’s a supermarket close by for groceries too. A great place, and I’ll use their services again when I need somewhere to stay in Madrid.

The staff were so kind and professional, and the whole place felt clean, modern, and peaceful. We’ve just checked out of The Oliver, calle Alsasua, and it’s my number one in Madrid. If I could give it more than five stars, I would 🥰
