We’d have missed breakfast on our second day because we had to leave before the usual serving time, but Lady Cesar-Brenda kindly put together a takeaway for us. It had sandwiches, juice, water, fruit, yogurt, and bakery items, so we could eat on the way. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness. Breakfast was included in our booking and had a great range of food. Vertice was also one of the best economical options we found in Madrid. I’d recommend Vertice Roomespace to anyone looking for a place to stay here.

The safe, quiet surroundings made it a peaceful place to relax, and the nearby train station made getting around easy. The rooms were spacious and had a well-equipped kitchen, which made our stay very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Almudella was so nice. We had a lot of baggage, so she let us into our room earlier than expected. There were four of us, and the room was amazing. We were really happy. Thanks, see you next time!

The breakfast was really good, and Lady and Brenda in the breakfast area were so friendly and nice. Almudene at reception was kind and friendly to us too, though I’m not sure I’ve pronounced her name correctly. Thanks to them and to the Vertice roomspace Madrid team 😊

The booking site told me they had contacted the property about the misunderstanding and that my refund request was declined, despite reaching out multiple times for me. That doesn’t match the explanation the property has given in its reply. The ad I saw in the United States didn’t show that the cancellation deadline used a foreign time zone. I only saw that information after completing the booking, so it wasn’t disclosed when I made my decision. The “free cancellation before a certain date” claim felt misleading because the deadline followed the property’s time zone, not the time zone of customers they were advertising to. It felt like a confusing trap that put travelers at a disadvantage. When I raised the issue, they wouldn’t take responsibility or offer a refund, even after Booking.com asked them to reconsider because the policy was unclear. Their customer service was dismissive and unwilling to acknowledge or resolve the problem. The whole experience was infuriating and unacceptable. I have no confidence in this property and strongly warn people to stay away.
