The standout for us was the view from the 9th floor, across the hill, castle, and old city. The apartment is one open space with accordion partitions, which suited us with small kids because we could keep an eye on them. There was plenty of room to move around and for them to play, though I’m not sure the layout would suit a group of more adults. We all slept well: the two double beds, pillows, and living-room sofa bed were comfortable. Both bathrooms were spacious and clean. There’s a shop around the corner, plus good restaurants, a pizzeria, and an ice cream shop. Everything we wanted to see was a short walk away. I had several questions for the staff and got quick replies on Whatsapp. Check-in is self-service through a website link, where you slide to unlock the building’s front door and the apartment door. There’s a card inside the apartment afterward, but I’m not sure how you’d first get in without internet. Ask about that if you’ll arrive without access to the internet.

The arrival details, including the information and keys, were all explained clearly before we got there. The team was really friendly and communication was very good. The newly renovated apartment was clean, cosy, and thoughtfully arranged to make good use of the space, with everything we needed. Shops, restaurants, and the cathedral are close by. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The location and apartment were good, but the house next door is undergoing a full renovation. One morning they started drilling into concrete at 8am, and another day it was 7am. When the walls are shaking, there’s no chance of sleeping.

The first night was a write-off. We opened the sofa bed and found a dirty sheet. When we asked for a clean one, they said they hadn’t changed it because they didn’t know we’d use the sofa bed. Three hours later, there was still no replacement. A woman from the building eventually brought an extremely dirty sheet and asked us to change it ourselves and hand over the old one. I messaged as soon as I saw how dirty it was, about a minute after she gave it to me, but heard nothing and got no help until the next day. I couldn’t sleep that night. I’d never recommend this apartment hotel to anyone. I’ll attach photos of the sheets to this review.

A sleek, comfortable apartment hotel made a great base for getting the most out of Malaga. The location was excellent and the service amazing.
