The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, TV, wardrobe, fridge and air conditioning that worked well enough to leave on all night. The welcome at reception was really pleasant, too. The bathroom window was a nice touch, but there was no heater, so it got very cold. Bring slippers, and don't expect much toiletries, just two small sachets of shampoo and shower gel, with no soap. It's about a 15-minute walk to the big supermarket. I walked from Viktoria Kent Station, which took two hours and was manageable, but I wouldn't recommend that route. The town itself is very quiet and small, and nice for a stroll.

Doña Manuela was modern, spotless and smelled fresh throughout. Gabriel, the owner, was an excellent host, and the Wi-Fi worked without demanding an email address or anything like that. Getting there from Malaga or Torremolinos was easy. I used to have doubts about staying in hostels, but this place completely changed my mind. My room was tiny but enough, with a very comfortable bed, a fresh new bathroom and new air conditioning. I’d happily recommend it, and would absolutely stay here again next time I visit Malaga.
