We only stayed because we were worn out after driving for over 30 minutes on those roads and needed somewhere to rest. Even though our Booking reservation was confirmed, we were told the room had apparently been given to someone else, and we were charged an extra 25€ on top of the original price. There was no phone signal and the WiFi didn't work, so we couldn't plan our day or get online at all. The TV had no signal either. There was no running water, hot or cold, which meant we couldn't shower before leaving. The food was also extremely disappointing (see photos). We left without a shower or internet access and having paid the extra 25€. Writing this review a few kilometers from the hotel, I can honestly say it was the worst hotel we've stayed in. I'd strongly suggest other travelers think twice, especially if they expect basics like running water, WiFi, or a room to be available when they arrive.

The thing our group of nine noticed most was how friendly everyone was. I arranged a retreat at Hotel Humaina, and we were all blown away by the staff, as well as the location and the food. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in a warm, family-owned rural place.

The showers barely had any pressure and never got warm. They also don't advertise the pet charge, which turned out to be 15 euros per dog. We had two, so we paid 30 euros extra, more than half the room price. We won't be back.

The receptionist's warm smile and friendly, polite welcome made us feel at home. The whole place had a lovely, inviting feel, and everyone was welcoming. Tucked into the mountains, it was peaceful and quiet, just right for escaping the noise of the city and relaxing. We had a beautiful stay, and I'd recommend it for a serene, charming getaway.

The room was rustic, clean, and comfortable, and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there. We came to Málaga for a couple of nights to see the Christmas lights, and since I don't enjoy busy cities, this hotel seemed like a good fit. It's an easy drive into town but surrounded by nature. We even managed a short hike, and the area is incredible. The staff were really good and friendly. Loved our stay, and we'll definitely come again.
