We spent three nights here in May, and it was perfect for a short stay. Carrefour and the beautiful beach are both a short walk away. The hotel itself is lovely, with great service at the bar. The buffet was excellent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with plenty to choose from. Our vegetarian friends loved the dedicated veggie corner, which saved them searching through the buffet. They also prepared a fresh roll every morning for our gluten-free friend. There are two lovely pools and an amazing spa. The spa costs €15 for up to two hours on weekends, but weekday use is unlimited. The rooms were basic but clean and fine for a few nights. My only suggested improvement would be tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

The main letdown was the food. It looked appealing but was disappointing to eat, and there wasn’t much choice. There were hardly any options suitable for kids, which made meals difficult for families. The hotel was tidy and very clean, though the rooms felt outdated. Staff were friendly and the location was good. It was a decent stay, but the food really brought it down.

The hotel is on a quiet street set back from the road, which is great if you need peace to sleep. There isn’t a lot to do in the immediate area, but a short bus or train ride takes you to plenty of places. If that works for you, I’d recommend it as a quiet holiday spot. The pool was a good size. There weren’t many sunbeds, but when we visited in June it never seemed too busy, so there were always enough available. Staff were very friendly and spoke several languages well. Remember to bring the room key holder showing your stay details to breakfast or lunch. Nobody told us about it, and we were turned away from the dining room until we went back for it. The hotel was really clean, with spotless, good-sized rooms. The bathroom was spacious and clean too. Our room had free air conditioning and a safe, as well as a fridge.

The pool was okay, and I really appreciated the staff service, especially the man they sent to fix the air conditioning. He was polite and professional. I was very disappointed once I got into the room. The AC was so weak that the room felt hotter than outside. The balcony door lock was broken, there was no fridge, and everything looked old, completely unlike the photos on the booking sites.

The service really made our stay. Everyone was smiling, helpful, and the whole hotel had a lovely energy. There was loads of choice at breakfast and dinner, including fish, vegetables, vegetarian and vegan dishes, plus delicious fruit and desserts. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel is peaceful while still being close to the sea and the main shopping street. For me, Hotel Luna Club is the best hotel on the Costa Brava. 😀
