Hotel La Estrella

The room was clean and had a lovely view, and it was a short walk into the centre. The staff were incredibly friendly. I had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

The staff were wonderful, especially Dora, who was helpful and supportive. The room was clean, smelled pleasant, and had a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was very good, and well-sealed windows kept outside music out. Sadly, the walls and doors were thin, so we could hear everything through them, and the elevator was very loud. During our stay, a group rented two rooms beside ours and kept walking between them at midnight while having a party. We reported it to reception, but a warning didn’t help. The upstairs room also made extremely loud and inappropriate noises, leaving the rest of us unwilling listeners. If that banging and noise continued, I’d be happy to discuss a refund for the unsolicited disturbance through the paper-thin walls. I understand guests may come for different reasons, but I assume the hotel doesn’t advertise itself as a place for disruptive behavior. Paying for a room doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. That just shows a lack of basic manners. If you didn’t learn proper behavior at home, you can still acquire it later. I don’t blame the hotel staff at all. We just weren’t lucky with the other guests.

At the end of April, an administrative mistake got us a free upgrade to 2 very Nice appartments with very large terrasses. The rooms were clean, with fresh sheets and towels, and we loved the big shower. Marina Drach is at the highest point of the town, so the rooftop terrace has an amazing view. Everyone was kind and helpful throughout. A big ‘Thank you’ to Pinar and Dora, who were helpful at all times. We had an amazing stay.

We spent 6 nights here and loved the stay. The patio was great, the bed comfy, the room clean, and the staff very friendly. Dora at the front desk was especially helpful, answering our questions with so much enthusiasm. We could clearly hear the people in the adjoining room through the connecting door, which was NOT SOUND PROOF. They were smoking in there too, and sadly the front desk couldn’t do anything about it.
