Sa Vaqueria

Three friends, a late arrival, and a rural Mallorcan road that felt like it was guarding state secrets. At first the gate was hidden behind so much greenery it could have been a nature reserve, and the keypad wasn’t easy to spot either. It was all a bit like an exclusive club where you had to know where the entrance was. Once we figured out the code, though, the twists and turns were worth it. Casa Katia has stone walls and quiet courtyards, with rustic charm that feels almost like it went to finishing school. Breakfast was a lovely, simple little ritual, fresh and probably healthier than anything we’d eaten in weeks. We spent most of our days around Mallorca, at beaches and in towns eating tapas, but coming back to Sa Vaqueria felt like stepping into a peaceful private film set, a well-kept secret. The entrance could use a trim so it doesn’t feel like finding a lost temple with Indiana Jones, though that’s part of its charm. We’d stay again without hesitation. Five stars. We only stayed one night, but it was such a pleasant, relaxed spot. It’s a great choice if you want somewhere quiet to unwind while staying close to Porto Christo. It could also work for a longer winter stay with remote work, since there’s heating and wifi. We’ll be back. Thanks, Natalia and the team!

A peaceful getaway, with beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces full of nature. Sa Vaqueria has a lovely, serene atmosphere. The rooms are average, though you can see they were put together with care. Breakfast was very nice, and the price felt fair for what you get. A lovely place for a quiet stay.

The area is really nice, and Porto Christo and the caves are only a short drive away. The accommodation feels luxurious and has a lovely pool shared by just a few families. The staff were very nice and helpful. Towels are provided only a few times a week, but that’s no problem if you know in advance.
