Universal Hotel Perla

The rooftop pool and terrace were a highlight, with wide Mediterranean views and a great place to sit in the sun with a cocktail. The beach is just steps away, with soft sand and clear water. My room was bright, modern, and spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and many rooms have lovely sea views. I also liked the care put into the room amenities. Meals were consistently good, with a broad buffet of fresh local and international options at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service in the restaurant was friendly and efficient. Across the hotel, the staff were kind and helpful, and seemed to care about making the stay special. From arrival, I felt warmly welcomed, and the elegant feel and beachfront setting made a strong first impression. This was one of my most memorable hotel stays. I’d gladly return to Universal Hotel Perla in S’Illot, Mallorca, and recommend it to friends and family for a relaxing seaside break with modern comforts and attentive service.

Albert at reception deserves a special mention. He was helpful, funny, and cheerful, and the other staff were friendly throughout. My room, number 108, had a practical layout and a lovely view, so I felt at home straight away. The beach was clean, lovely, and not too crowded. We stayed in July and were happy with everything. The value for money was great, and we were pleasantly surprised that Aperol was part of the all-inclusive offer. It was delicious. We’d definitely recommend the hotel.

Albert made a real difference to my stay. He greeted me at reception, gave superb advice, and was always glad to answer my questions. He paid attention to every detail. The rest of the staff were kind and attentive too, and I enjoyed my stay from the very first minute.

The rooms were good, very clean, and well maintained, but the service made this the worst vacation stay we’ve had. We paid for all-inclusive and felt like paying guests didn’t get much attention. Drinks took ages to arrive, while guests paying separately were served espresso. The cocktails were mostly ice and syrup with very little alcohol, and the beer came in small amounts. We only got Coca-Cola in glasses, while other guests were given bottles. We were on the 5th floor and walked quite a bit to avoid waiting half an hour for the same drink. On top of that, there’s tourism tax, beach towels to buy, and sunbeds cost 15e per day. No thanks, we won’t be going back. 😡😡
