Casa Rural La Cateta

We left and cancelled our reservation as soon as we arrived and saw the condition of the place. It looked nothing like the photos: the house seemed never to have been renovated, with crumbling walls, filthy windows that wouldn't close properly, and an unbearable damp smell. It was also very dirty. There's just one air conditioner for the whole house, and the pool is elsewhere on the property with set swimming hours. “Disaster” barely describes it.

The beds were the one good part for me. The house smells musty, and the doors and windows don't work properly. Tap water isn't drinkable, so they provide a bottled water dispenser. The towels are old and rough, and cleanliness could be better. I wouldn't return.

The pool gets shade in both the morning and afternoon, and Úbeda, Baeza, and Mancha Real are nearby. The setting among centuries-old olive trees is idyllic, with total tranquility.

Elena was especially kind and helpful, and the staff's attention was exquisite. The house is conveniently located and has everything needed. Highly recommended, with no detail missing.
