Hotel Apartamentos Manilva Sun

Staff were very nice and helpful, and this hotel could have been really nice and good value. But the ground floor had a strong cigarette smell because smoking is allowed in the indoor terrace area. Guests also smoked around the pool despite signs asking them not to. If smoking were banned inside the terrace, the stay would feel completely different, and we'd definitely return.

The staff were consistently helpful and polite, and the room had what we needed, including a complete kitchen. Indoor parking was great for keeping the car cool and making it easier to bring luggage to the room. The bigger issue was guests repeatedly ignoring the rules without the hotel doing anything. I heard people diving into the pool after its 22:00 closing time more than once, and people were drinking and talking loudly after 23:00, as well as smoking where signs clearly forbid it. It happened often. The weekly cleaning schedule was unclear, so you never knew which day it would happen. It also needed to cover more than changing sheets and wiping the floor and bathroom. The kitchen and furniture weren't touched, and dust kept building up.

The reception and bar staff gave great service, and the rooms were well maintained. I had a comfortable stay.

The rooms are decent for the price, but the night staff made the stay unpleasant. Coming and going after dark felt awkward, and they were rude and unwelcoming. Even buying something from the hotel’s own shop seemed like a huge bother to them. I wouldn’t stay again; I want to feel respected as a guest and have staff care about my experience.
