Ibis Valencia Aeropuerto

The room was spotlessly clean, a short distance from the train, and plenty big for two. We booked a private room and found the staff helpful and funny. Very good value, with nothing to complain about.

We spent most of our time exploring the city and only used the hotel for sleeping, and it mostly met our expectations. The nearby metro and grocery store were handy, and we could walk to the airport in about 10 minutes. The approach was a little awkward because of construction. Double windows cut down the airport noise a lot. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was good and started at 04:30, though the breakfast area is small and can get crowded. We stayed four nights, and the location is especially useful for an early flight from Valencia airport.

The staff were really friendly, and the room was what you’d expect from a budget hotel beside the airport. But there was no white wine or chilled Rose, so I settled for red. It was drinkable, though not worth 24€. The food was a letdown: the microwave-style meal came out cold and undercooked, and half the roast chicken was still frozen inside. They refunded it without any fuss. The pizza was hot, but definitely not fresh and too expensive. Better to go into town.

Good value for the price and a comfortable place to stay. The airport is walkable, despite what Google maps says, using a safe pedestrian route. Call the hotel and they’ll explain how to get there. Lidl is close by, and the nearby metro gets you into the city in about 20 minutes.
