The hotel is right next to the runway perimeter, but the sound insulation was excellent, and the free airport shuttle was appreciated. Some of the file pictures are misleading: the oval swimming pool is really a children's splash area, not for adults to swim in. Reception wanted €10 to rent a pool towel, which was a joke. The restaurant staff were friendly, but the food was frankly bad. The soup was over-spiced and I sent it back, the rice dish was far too salty, and the cheesecake was bland and boring. The croquettes were nice, though small and expensive. Maybe they don't have to try very hard with such a captive audience near the airport.

All the staff were really nice and always smiling, and breakfast was very good with lots of variety. The receptionist welcomed me warmly and check-in went smoothly. I was puzzled by the bathroom amenities, though. There were empty boxes for the shower cap and toothbrush, with nothing inside. When I mentioned it to the cleaning lady, she replaced them without a word, so I'm not sure if that's just how the place does things.

The bar food was delicious, and I really enjoyed my stay. I needed somewhere clean and safe for one night before an early 6:30 a.m. flight. Staff arranged an early taxi because their shuttle wasn't available yet. It arrived on time and cost very little. I'd stay again.

The room was cozy and suited a short stay, and I slept soundly despite the hotel's convenient location near the airport. Check-in was quick and easy. The pool looked inviting, though I hadn't packed a bathing suit, so I didn't use it. The food was a highlight, especially the delicious dishes with the sangria I ordered. I had a great stay at Hotel Port Azafata in Valencia.

Even the basic AC wouldn't cool the room, which made summer unbearable, and the electrician was useless. The price isn't cheap.
