Hotel Torres

The hotel had a really useful place to store our bikes, with a pump and tools too. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and accommodating. They also shared some great restaurant suggestions. We had a lovely stay.

It's great that pets are welcome, and I really appreciate that. The facilities were super clean and nicely updated, with pretty much everything needed for a short stay. The beds were quite comfortable, and there were both low and high pillows. The bathroom came with shower gel and shampoo, a brush, and toothpaste. The big problem was the strange air conditioning, which loudly pumps out condensation every 30 seconds. You can't sleep with it running, so it's a choice between the heat and the noise. You can hear it in other rooms too, and soundproofing is poor: AC, TVs, doors, and other guests' noises all come through clearly. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep well. Breakfast (€9,50), parking (€10), and pet lodging (€8) each cost extra.

Manlleu was much busier than I realized, with cars constantly passing by. I came for a relaxing weekend, but the double windows and air conditioning meant we could shut out the traffic and keep cool. There are double curtains too, which helped in the morning since I'm not an early riser. Dogs are welcome in the hotel and restaurant, which I really appreciated. The rooms are simple but nice, with what you need and a few extras: a little desk, TV, hair dryer, and you can ask for a bath mat. Reception was very kind, and check-in and checkout were quick. Parking costs €5 per day. Breakfast is a simple but tasty buffet for €6.5 each, with bread, cereal, some fruit, embutido, two eggs per person on request, juice cartons, and two or three pastries.

The area has a real mix of cultures, and there's easy access to nearby amenities. Rooms are clean and pleasant, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is a hearty meal. I recommend it for a business trip or a visit.
