Les Cabanes de l Oller

The views of the Montserrat mountain range across the Oller del Mas vineyards are beautiful and make the stay feel especially peaceful. Les Cabanes de l’Oller del Mas brings together comfort, refinement, and sustainability. The cabins and shared spaces mix rustic character with contemporary design, and the facilities are first-class. You can explore the estate on the bicycles provided, while staff drive guests between the cabins, restaurant, and main areas by golf cart, a thoughtful touch that makes getting around easy. The restaurant highlights local produce in refined Spanish cooking, with excellent wines from the estate cellar. The architecture and hospitality both show a real respect for nature and quiet luxury.

The welcome was just okay, but the cabane was very clean, modern, comfortable, and had an amazing view. The linens and towels were acceptable, nothing special. We paid extra for the hot tub, but it was cold and not ready. It takes hours to heat, so it’s good we stayed a couple of nights; with just one night we wouldn’t have been able to use it, which isn’t acceptable at this price. If you have more than a carry-on or weekender, they’ll take you and your luggage around by golf cart. It’s a nice place, but not five-star.

The food and the view were amazing, and the rooms were good, but the service was deplorable. Communication on WhatsApp between reception and the restaurant was frustrating and sad, especially with the restricted hours and room service. We clearly placed food orders in writing on WhatsApp, and staff had to bring them down by buggy or golf cart. Both nights, and throughout our three days there, the food arrived two hours later without knives, forks, glasses, or napkins. It came in plastic or paper boxes with no plates. I’ve traveled a lot and have owned hotels and restaurants in the past and now, so I’d like to think I know a little about this. This isn’t five-star, or even four-star, not close. The food is really good, and the wine too if you know what you’re ordering. The staff seemed lost and weren’t friendly. A very disappointing stay.

The setting is beautiful, with a view of the Montserrat mountains, and the restaurants served great food. Still, I couldn’t work out what this place was trying to be. The room was nice enough, though the shower area felt a bit cheap. The reception is a great space, but visiting groups made it feel too busy to hang out, have a drink, or relax. The restaurants lacked atmosphere too. Breakfast was probably the weakest part: the staff weren’t very friendly and the food selection was fairly poor.
