The room was small, though the bed was good. What stood out most was the service and location, with very friendly staff. They make proper coffee con leche and will refill it if you want, instead of the machine coffee you get in 4* hotels. In the morning the cafeteria fills with travelers and locals, which gives it an authentic meeting-place feel to start the day.

The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and breakfast was great value. The modern decor was lovely too. A couple of drawbacks: there wasn’t a hairdryer in the room, and the timer on the lights in public areas didn’t leave enough time to open the room door and put the key into the room electrics.

We were staying across the road in an Air B&B, not at the hostel. The cafe was spotless and being cleaned constantly. Breakfast was basic, but you can order from the menu, and the food was really good. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, and spoke good English. We stopped at the bar most evenings too. If I return to Mahon, I’d definitely book Laisla for accommodation.

We had to book two rooms after our flights were cancelled. The place was inexpensive and clean, and reception were nice and gave us recommendations. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with AC and free wifi. A simple breakfast is available for 3-6€.

It’s on a quiet street in the centre of Mahon, an easy walk into town, and there’s free parking nearby. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the cafe was handy for drinks and breakfast. Our room was small and had no view, but the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage, and the bathroom was nice. I’d recommend staying here and would come back. Fabulous setting.
