Getting the deposit back turned into a nightmare. The owners first said a chair was broken, but we had proof it was damaged before we arrived. After seeing that, they switched to claiming there was an air conditioning problem. Then they stopped replying, and we were left with no updates. We had to reach out to Booking.com and the European Consumer Centre. Only after Booking.com stepped in did the owners contact us, saying they’d refund the money, but asking us to consider changing our review once it was processed. We spent a whole month trying to sort this out. We also found out that other guests had apparently dealt with the same pattern of excuses about deposits, including claims about broken air conditioning or damaged furniture. It made us feel the place was using those claims to scam people. The trouble started as soon as we arrived. On our arrival day, the cleaner suddenly came into the apartment, including our bedrooms, while we were asleep. He shouted and showed no regard for our privacy. It was a shocking invasion of our personal space. We found the experience stressful, frustrating, and disrespectful. Based on what happened to us, the owners seemed dishonest and unprofessional, and I’d tell others to stay away.

The views are magnificent at this beautiful private residential development.

It’s certainly calmer than downtown Marbella, and the view is lovely. The location just turned out to be too far for us to drive.
