I found a rental apartment listing from Marina Mariola and called about it. They said they’d email me the details and made promises about arranging a viewing, but nothing came through. I’m an exceptional client with a budget of 7,000 euros a month, and the rental staff were so rude. They don’t return calls or emails and came across as completely unprofessional. Owners thinking of renting through them should think twice, since they’re losing clients this way.
Our stay turned into a horrible scramble. We’d booked and paid for the apartments through Airbnb, and were told to call the owner 30 minutes before arriving. He didn’t pick up, so we couldn’t check in. When we finally got hold of him, he said we’d called too late, that he was in Madrid, and that we also had to pay a 500 euro deposit in cash. He wouldn’t take a card. That seemed very strange, and the deposit hadn’t been mentioned in the apartment description. We didn’t have 500 euros in cash, even though the rent was already paid. We got our money back through Airbnb customer support and found an even better hotel, but we had to urgently find somewhere at night with our small child. There are lots of good reviews, but our experience was awful. I don’t recommend dealing with these thieves.
A brilliant place to stay if you’re into good food!
The location is fabulous, everything was immaculate, and the security staff were lovely and polite.
